How To Be A Team Player

Church Jobs - How To Be A Team Player

Whether you’ve recently joined a new organization, looking to switch careers or just want to be the best team player in your office, we’ve got some tips and tricks to help you excel at being a team player. Take a look at our following suggestions to supercharge your team player skills!

Celebrate Other’s Success

Show your colleagues that you value them by celebrating it – there are many ways to show your team members that you appreciate their work and professional companionship in the workplace. Try thinking about if a particular person has done well during a presentation. Or did they go above and beyond with their work? Take a moment to stop and tell them so.

Listen to others

Listen to others around you and respond using a clear and concise tone of voice. Regardless of if it’s at work or in other areas of life, one of the most impactful things we can do for others is to show them that we truly understand them.

Take responsibility

Don’t wait for others to take on the task or ask you to do so. Proactively taking responsibility for tasks will help your fellow team members know that you are here to work. Especially if you are hoping to grow into a leadership role, taking on more responsibilities is an excellent way to show that you are capable of leadership roles!

Follow Up

If it’s been a while since you’ve heard about a project or updates regarding a launch, rather than waiting for someone to reach out to you, take the initiative to follow up with your office members to ensure you’re all on the same page. Whilst checking up on project dates why not see how you can best contribute to moving the project along?

What matters more than anything is recognizing valuable team members who are also trying to fulfill their roles, and thinking about how you can support them. We hope these tips and resources serve you well!
